Scenic Coast (Agios Georgios Alamanou Beach)

Sing praise!

The distinctive limestone rocks located along the coast at Agios Georgios Alamanou Beach are a continuation of Governor's Beach. The area is named after the Agios Georgios Alamanos Monastery and is accessed from the Pentakomo exit on the A1 motorway. The Agios Georgios Alamanou Fish Tavern pictured below also attracts a large number of visitors to the beach, particularly during the tourist season.

There are four small bays with sea caves that are best accessed by kayak. Good walking shoes are recommended for exploring the area. The rock formation is a stunning phenomenon that provides impressive backgrounds for photo shoots.

The joy of experiencing God's creation displayed in this scenic rock formation fills us with praise. The Bible tells us that all creation was made for God's glory (Colossians 1:16) and that everything with breath should praise Him (Psalm 150:6).

On one occasion, the Lord Jesus said in Luke 19:40 that if the praise of people was suppressed, the rocks would cry out! The Lord is worthy of praise! All creation sings praise; the twittering birds in the morning, the rushing sea, the wind in the trees, the gentle patter of rain on the glass. How much more should human hearts respond and exalt our creator God!

We praise Him not only for His majesty in creation but also for His eternal salvation. If we have truly accepted the love of Christ and His forgiveness, our redeemed hearts will express our gratitude in praise and worship! No greater love has ever been made manifest and no other love can bring reconciliation to God.

It is impossible to be filled with gratitude for God's glory and salvation and not offer it up to Him in praise. Join in the joyful song!

Praise the LORD!

Praise the LORD from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light! Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens!

Let them praise the name of the LORD, For He commanded and they were created. He also established them forever and ever; He made a decree which shall not pass away.

Praise the LORD from the earth, You great sea creatures and all the depths;

Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word; Mountains and all hills; Fruitful trees and all cedars; Beasts and all cattle; Creeping things and flying fowl; Kings of the earth and all peoples; Princes and all judges of the earth; Both young men and maidens; Old men and children.

Let them praise the name of the LORD, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven. And He has exalted the horn of His people, The praise of all His saints— Of the children of Israel, A people near to Him.

Praise the LORD!

Psalm 148
