Cyprus is one of the most scenic islands in the Mediterranean, attracting up to 4 million visitors each year. Workmen labour tirelessly throughout the year to keep the island attractive to tourists.
During the winter months, however, the beaches appear wild and uncultivated. Waves batter the shoreline, and the wind blows the sand onto walkways and paths. The photos were taken during a visit to the east side of the island.

White African daisies and yellow treasure flowers reflect the spring sunshine on the coastline. The young trees bend over in the gale, creating a windswept vista familiar to the locals at this time of year.

Due to the lack of tourists, I had the great fortune of finding a beautiful white egret peacefully having its lunch. Undisturbed, it continued to fish until its appetite was satiated. What a magnificent sight of harmonious nature.

Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa has clear waters and a stretch of soft, white sand, making it the most popular beach on the island. Locals soak up the spring sunshine in these marvellous surroundings; however, the sea does not heat up sufficiently for swimming until June.

A popular place to capture sunsets is at Love Bridge. Venture onto the bridge at your own risk!

Inspired by the beauty of nature, the Psalmist wrote:
O LORD, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions. Psalm 104:24
The Sustainer of this earth created it in wisdom, leaving His fingerprints on all He designed. He holds our very breath in His hands!
Who among all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this, in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind? Job 12:9-10
Why has God created us as part of His plan?
To worship and praise Him for all He has done for us, preserving our lives and providing a way to restore fellowship with the human race. Sin separated us from a holy God, but He sent His Son to die in our stead so that we could be forgiven.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
Receive the gift of salvation through repentance and faith in Christ's death and resurrection. Let us give thanks with full hearts today, praising our Creator and Lord!
