Open our Eyes!

God's glory in Cyprus

The best place to see the sunset is undoubtedly by the sea. Yesterday evening, I predicted that the evening scene would be epic because of the cloud coverage: I was not disappointed!

The white rocks at Agios Georgios Alamanou are a unique geographical feature in the Limassol district, providing the ideal spot to watch the spectacular sunsets of Cyprus.

This is only a foretaste of God's glory on earth! The majesty and awe of the scene filled me with praise and worship to the Creator who has made us in His image and desires fellowship with us. True fellowship with God comes through faith in the living Christ and His sacrifice for our sins on the cross.

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness,

The power and the glory,

The victory and the majesty;

For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours;

Yours is the kingdom, O LORD,

And You are exalted as head over all.

1 Chronicles 29:11

My latest book 'Open our Eyes' contains 30 key Bible verses that explain several basic truths of Christianity, illustrated with photos of Cyprus. The following is an excerpt on the topic of worship:

"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. John 4:23

Our spiritual dimension allows us to connect with the Living God in worship through the Holy Spirit. Worship is not confined to a particular place but comes from within, from a heart that sincerely desires to exalt God ‘in spirit and in truth.’

The truth guides us to the true God; only He should be worshipped and served. Knowledge about the true God deepens our gratitude and appreciation of Him and all He has done for us.

Worship is not only a simple prayer or song of praise, but a way of life. We should worship God in all we do and say by giving Him first place in our lives.

Will you become a true worshipper? – God is searching for such today!"

No man gives anything acceptable to God until he has first given himself in love and sacrifice. A.W. Tozer"
