Limassol Marina, which was developed over the last decade, offers exclusive water space for boat owners, surrounded by luxury villas and apartments.
For the casual visitor, the marina is a relaxed setting for quality time with friends and family.
A variety of shops, cafes and restaurants with international cuisine offer much to tourists and locals alike.
The words of Jesus to His disciples in John 14 came to mind as I walked around this stunning area of Limassol:
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.I go to prepare a place for you."
John 14: 1-2
While it is important to secure an earthly dwelling place, it is crucial to prepare for a heavenly mansion or dwelling place/abode. The Lord has promised an eternal home to His followers with Him in heaven. While this appears to be wishful thinking for some, Christians know that the Bible is true and that God does not lie. Eternal life is promised to those who believe:
...whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:15
Life is a precious gift and we are ever more conscious that it is only temporary. Popular opinion conjectures that death brings complete annihilation or that we simply cannot know what lies ahead. However, God, the majestic Creator of this world, has already revealed in the Bible what awaits us after death. For the Christian, we can joyfully anticipate the future:
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
Philippians 3:20-21
So "I can read my title clear,
To mansions in the sky,
And let me bid farewell to fear,
And wipe my weeping eyes."
Branwell Brontë
