Summer is Coming!

Five verses for the summer

And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Genesis 2:2

After God created the universe, He rested on the seventh day, setting a precedent for us to work and have a break. A change of scenery refreshes and brings that needed mental rest.

If you travel to an island, enjoy the beaches and magnificent scenery! If you stay inland, there are national parks, mountain paths and green areas, providing spaces for leisure and relaxation. Sometimes we do not have to go far from our homes to find recreational places with wonderful family facilities.

So I said, "Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest." Psalm 55:6

Nowadays, it is easier to 'get away' than before with increasing budget flights and destinations. I highly recommend Cyprus in June or September when temperatures are pleasant. The Cypriot people are kind and welcoming and the Mediterranean scenery declares God's creatorial power.

God's Presence

And He said, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." Exodus 33:14

The Lord desires to bless His people with His protecting and inspiring presence. He promises to be with us every day in every pursuit. Wherever you go, the Lord is with you!

The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. Song of Songs 2:12

Summer is a time when flowers are in bloom and the birds sing cheerfully. Experiencing the joy of nature brings an inner calm, reminding us that all things are given for our enjoyment. Rejoice in God and His creation today!

The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy. Psalm 111:7

During our vacation rest, we can thank God for His faithfulness and trustworthiness. We delight in the many spiritual blessings received from His loving hand. Grateful living presents opportunities to share the story of God’s immense grace and mercy.

It is never too late to become a Christ follower - our sins have separated us from a holy God but He invites us to be cleansed by faith in His atoning sacrifice on the cross. The Lord Jesus paid the price for our sins, offering us eternal salvation as a gift.

We cannot earn a place in Heaven through good works because Jesus alone provided the way. Through repentance and faith, we find forgiveness and acceptance with God.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
